This site exists because I wanted a place to put my thoughts that isn’t fully owned by another platform and might actually stand the test of time. Something simple where I can write things down without worrying about algorithms, engagement, or whatever the internet is optimizing for this week.

Here you’ll find spontaneous thoughts about all kinds of topics: parenting, life, technology, cars, photography, or whatever else I feel like writing about at the moment. Honestly, it’s kind of like publishing my Google Keep notes to the web.

I miss the older internet I grew up with: personal sites full of raw thoughts and weird little corners made by ordinary people. Things felt less performative back then. This site is my attempt to lean back into that spirit a bit.

Personally, I live in Northern Virginia. I’m married and a dad to two young boys, both of whom I love dearly. Over the years I’ve cycled through a lot of hobbies including playing saxophone, Magic: the Gathering, photography, travel, cars, and now tracking my car at HPDE events.

I’ve started and abandoned more blogs than I can count, so there’s a very real chance this quietly dies someday too. But hopefully not.

This site is built with Jekyll and hosted on GitHub Pages. After trying countless platforms over the years, this is the setup I keep coming back to. Domain registration provided by Porkbun.
